Over the last 3 years artist, Duncan Higgins has carried out a Nesta fellowship. Based on his experiences in North Russia, Duncan has produced paintings, films and texts.
In 2007 Duncan approached dust to produce the Unloud book, a textual and photographic outcome of some of this work.
Design became a point of invisibility, defining structural ideas, consequence and the impact of material. A ghost of something as opposed to a tangible intervention.
